Gym Workouts for Men

Getting better results for your exercises at home than at the gym can sound like a huge stretch. What are the home ab workouts for men that can beat getting results at the gym? This is a common question that people ask themselves when they don't feel like going to the gym everyday. For those of us who would like to have exercises that work better at home than at the gym, keep on reading.

An ideal gym routine for men provides you with the best possible options to remain in shape even if you are suffering from obesity. People suffering from obesity would like to burn calories at warp speed. A suitable gym routine would help them to stay fit for a longer period of time. For people who are under-weight, an ideal gym routine allows them to take food that has a high percentage of protein content.

Bench Press. This is perhaps the favorite of a so many bodybuilders. You can choose to do this with dumbbells or with a barbell while lying on the floor. But it would be best if you get a bench and lie there. This exercise focuses on the chest muscles, particularly, the pectorals. It also works the triceps and the deltoids on the shoulders.

"Abs are made in the kitchen" was the phrase a personal trainer at my gym said to me. This is so true. Diet and nutrition is a fundamental point to getting a six pack. First of all, cutting right down, even better eliminating, all foods that contain empty calories, just as soft drinks and sugary sweets. These things do nothing but add fat to that layer around your abs. Not good! Try and cut out processed foods also, as these things are packed with sugar and are also just plain not good for your body in general.

One solution is resistance band workouts. Why you might ask? Well resistance exercise bands are very portable. Typically, a good set of resistance bands weighs less than 3 pounds. It can fit easily in your briefcase, large pocketbook or your carry-on luggage.

Creatine does not help you build muscle directly. What it does do is give you the energy to workout longer, which in turn, allows you to build muscle. By increasing the level of creatine in the muscle, the creatine allows you to have more energy and decreases your level of fatigue. The bad news is that creatine does not allow water to enter into the muscle, which causes muscle cramps and soreness. Quality protein helps you build muscle.

Weight training can involve free weights or machines or it can also involve body weight training programs. Body weight training is becoming more and more popular because it doesn't require any equipment and you don't need to go to a gym or make room in your house for weight equipment.

The second ab workout is the renegade dumbbell rows. This ab workout is started in the same as the last, the push-up position, only this time you will be holding dumbbells in your hands and supporting yourself up on the dumbbells. Then the move consists of you rowing one dumbbell up while keeping the rest of your body still. Bring it back down and rotate to the other arm and bring the other dumbbell up.
